20 Questions Book Tag

Another day, another tag post. I love these because I think they help in letting everypne

  1. How many books is too many books in a series?

I think this is totally dependant on the story in the books. Some series work as a trilogy and others can hold out for longer but I would rather deal with trilogies for fear of the quality dropping it is lasted too long

2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?

I love cliffhangers but I would prefer them to happen when the next book was already out so I wouldn’t have to wait about to find out what happens next.

3. Hardcopy or paperback?

To be honest I mostly read with my kindle now because of how easy it is to keep loads of books in one place but I love paperbacks.

4. Favourite Book?

I have to be honest and say my favourite is probably the first Hunger Games. It is one of the first books I would happily reread and I think that speaks for itself. Although before that it was probably “The Girlfriend” by Michelle Frances I just couldn’t put that book down!

5. Least Favourite Book?

Not sure if I necessarily have a least favourite book but I sadly didn’t enjoy East of Eden by John Steinbeck as much as I had hoped.

6. Love triangles, yes or no?

I used to like them but I have slowly become quite fed up with them.

7.The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

The Ballroom Cafe by Ann O’Loughlin

8. A book you’re currently reading?

Currently reading  The Black Book by Ian Rankin

9. Last book you recommended to someone?

Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. I haven’t long finished it myself and I actually mentioned this to a friend of mine only a few days ago.

10. Oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

Midsummer’s Night Dream was apparently published in 1595 but I won’t count that the same because I read that for school so as a book I picked to read myself I’d say Christmas Carol that was published in 1843.

11. Newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

Coming Home to the Comfort Food Cafe by Debbie Johnson was published 8th October 2017 so pretty sure that is the newest I have read since I am finally making it through my backed up reading list!

12. Favourite author?

Not sure I have an overall favourite author but at the moment I am really enjoying going through all of Ian Rankin’s books

13. Buying books or borrowing books?

I should probably start borrowing books because I am so bad for constantly buying books and never getting through them all before I buy more.

14. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It’s not that I hate it but after it being known as this classic that everyone seemed to say I should read I was disappointed when I just didn’t fall for it like everyone else.

15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?

Bookmarks

16. A book you can always re-read?

Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I reread this again last Christmas and can easily seeing it becoming a Christmas tradition I just love it!

17. Can you read while hearing music?

Depends on the book I am reading as strange as that sounds. If I am really enjoying a book I can have music or the TV on but more often that not I will be reading in silence.

18. One POV or multiple POV’s?

I don’t actually have a preference but recently I seem to be going for books with multiple POV’s.

19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

I actually prefer to read over multiple days. Some days I can sit for hours on end reading a book and finish it quickly but most of the time I like setting aside an hour or so before bed to read.

20. Who do you tag?

Whoever wants to take part 🙂

  1. Love your answers and lots to add to my TBR list!
It’s nice to see that someone else has a soft spot for Dickens. My favourite is David Copperfield and I’m the same – I could read it again and again and never be bored.
I still haven’t read A Christmas Carol yet though unusually! Maybe that’s one for next Christmas.
