I think I done pretty well with my reading list for last year and I also think it kept me focused on certain books to read to stop me wandering bookshops and pick up loads of other books.
So for this year I actually got a good chunk of books for Christmas that have been on my read list for a while so 2019 is going to be the year I do it.
The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien – Yes it’s still on my tbr list since I didn’t manage to get through it in 2018, shocker.
The Godfather by by Mario Puzo – I added this to my summer read list for last year but once again didn’t manage to get to it because I am far too easily distracted when I buy books.
In The Dark and No Way Out by Cara Hunter – After reading the first one of her books Close to Home late last year I feel it’s only right to continue reading my way through her series.
Three Little Lies by Laura Marshall – After reading Friend Request last year I quickly added Laura Marshall as an author to keep an eye on so I am already excited to read her next book.
The Night She Died by Jenny Blackhurst – I seem to read every book she brings out so I thought I’d keep that going since so far I have really enjoyed her other books.
The Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling – This is an absolute mush this year! I have got to 25 without reading them (I know) and it needs sorted. Plus my brother and sister-in-law bought me the beautiful set of books for Christmas.
The Lunar Chronicles by by Marissa Meyer – I actually first saw these books when watching a book vlogger on Youtube and was quite intrigued so I think it would be quite interesting if I could get through these books this year.
The Host by Stephenie Meyer – my best friend gave me this as part of my birthday present so it’s only right that I read it now that I actually have time.
The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth – I am a bit nervous about this one. My best friend got me the first in the trilogy as part of my Christmas and it would be silly not to read all 3. However I have heard many mixed reviews about this set of books and considering that I loved the Hunger Games trilogy so much I feel I am either going to love or loathe these ones in contrast.
Well I’d say this will keep me busy for a while… maybe. If anyone has any book recommendations please feel free to pass them on, despite what I said about sticking to this list this year I am always open to new books regardless.
